Welcome back to the G*M*S Magazine Podcast!

legendsofanglerre.jpgToday we have a very special co-host guest! Rather than the usual Mark Rivera to aid Paco Garcia-Jaen in his endeavours; author Sarah Newton has jumped on the wagon to bring you the news from GenCon you never knew you wanted to hear!

Sarah is well known for her work on Legends of Anglerre, Chronicles of Future Earth and, more recently, Shadows Over Scotland; a Cthulhu_Britannica_Scotland.jpgnew release from Cubicle 7 in the series of Cthulhu Britanica books.

Of course those are not all the strings to her bow and we're doing to find out more about her past, present and future as a writer and a gamer.

Also in the show there is an interview with the mighty Bruce Cordell.

A true veteran and heavy-weight of the industry for many years, Bruce Cordell has been responsible for some of the most interesting and better written work that have graced the Dungeons & Dragons realm the for last few years. Forgotten Realms, Dark Sun and, more recently, Neverwinter Campaign setting are some of the titles under his belt.

Neverwinter_campaign.jpgPaco also talks to him about his recent novel "The Sword of the Gods", which features the amazing character of Demascus; an amnesic Deva in a quest of survival and self-discovery full of danger, adventure and terrific settings.

Really hope you'll enjoy this podcast!

Welcome back to the G*M*S Magazine Podcast. This episode is all about boardgames and boardgamers with two excellent interviews.

First of all your tSake and Samuraiwo dedicated co-hosts, Paco Garcia and Mark Rivera, bring you some interesting information about recently played games, like Yomi and Dragon Rage. In fact, Mark has a pretty exciting announcement to make at the end of the show that involves goblins of a very specific colour...

Target EarthFor our first interview we have the amazing (and rather mental) guys from Albe Pavo, an Italian company with games that feature equal measures of weirdness, laughter and quality. Mark discusses with them their forthcoming release, Sake and Samurai and, trust me on this one, you want to know about that game!

We also review a couple of games for you, beloved listener/reader. Push and Target Earth. You'll hear about Push in the podcast (I'm sure you don't want to read everything right away, do you?) but I'll tell you a bit about Target Earth. Produced by GenX Games, Target Earth is a Sci-Fi themed game in which the players can play cooperatively to defeat the invading alien forces. Complex mechanics, fantastic theme. But will it play well?

Christopher ChuaWe have a second interview with a talented animator for Pixar and all-round good guy called Chris Chua. In this episode we've focused on the life of a gamer, rather than someone from the gaming industry, and I am sure you'll find out that he is just as interesting as anyone you can think of.

We're sure you'll enjoy this episode as much a we enjoyed recording it.

Untold the GameIt is with great pleasure that I bring you, dear readers and listeners, the first G*M*S Magazine RPG Podcast.

Yes, you read correctly: The RPG Podcast!

From now on, Mark and I are doubling our efforts and will be producing twice the concent, twice the information and twice the fun (and is jolly hard work, I can tell you!).

In this episode we have two interviews and a review.

Untold cardsTo start with there is an interview with Brandon Hollingsworth, co-creator, part-time genius and full-time nice guy behind Untold, a very interesting and rather fun card based RPG. We talk about its origins, the mechanics, thinking behind the game and why is such a fun product.

It makes only sense that we review that game, since we've interviewed the author, wouldn't you say? Well, we do say, so we did. Mark and I talk about presentation, rules, playing, fun factor... Everything you wanted to know. And probably more.

And the icing on the cake comes in the shame of the second interview. No less than Sean Patrick Fannon, a man made of awesomeness and one of the multi talented brains behind websites like RPGNow and DrivethroughRPG.

rpgnowlogo_sized.jpgAs well as an amazing wealth of knowledge (that explains the success of his enterprise), he is tremendous fun to listen to and a wise man to boot. I can't imagine anyone not liking this man!

AND! we answer YOUR questions about RPGs!

Oh yes! You want to know it, and we want to tell you. So we're going out of our way to find out the replies to your questions and get you out of the darkess, and into the RPG light (we're cool like that!). Ths time we cover time travel in RPGs.

So there you go. Hope you enjoy the podcast and we very much look forward to hearing or reading your feedback and hearing what you have to say.

Until next time!
